In March of this year, Ed’s Tavern, the popular Dilworth neighborhood bar, changed its name to Bourbon N Burgers. Customers of Ed’s weren’t happy with the new branding as it went against the community low-key vibe. Therefore, Bourbon N Burgers wasn’t gaining traction or a following. It was an easy decision for the owners, Lance and Tina Blundell, to change the name back to Ed’s Tavern on May 1.
When the decision was made to revert to the original name, SouthWood brought the brand back by refurbishing the old sign. Before and after pictures of the sign are below. To celebrate SouthWood’s loyal customers and the preservation of a community landmark, SouthWood is hosting an appreciation event at Ed’s in November.
